Stupid YouTube
9th Dec 2009 07:00amSo I can't watch my own video! Everyone knows I did a mimed performance of Shirley Bassey's - Hey Big Spender and well, when I went on YouTube to get the link for it, I get presented with this message:
"This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions."
Arseholes!! >=[

Richard Hammond in Showaddywaddy?
12th Jul 2009 21:16pmI've just been watching the video of Showaddywaddy performing Under The Moon of Love and I'm sure one of them is Richard Hammond. Seriously! (Like in a past life or something, well it couldn't have had been in a past life as Richard Hammond was born in 1969 - making him 6 or 7 during the performance that I watched)
Take a look... here is a screenshot of the video, in low quality at 52 seconds:
Now here's Richard Hammond:
(Not exactly the best image I could find, but you get my drift!)
See the weird resemblance!!

Susan Boyle
18th Apr 2009 20:16pmWell as you've noticed I've had a "Susan Boyle for BGT'09" at the top left of dalehay.com for the past week and I just want to say, I hope she wins! What a voice! Also over 20 million collective views on YouTube. There is also loads of overseas coverage of it too and also it's rumoured that she'll be on The Opera Oprah Winfrey Show.
Show your support and vote for her when it gets to that time!

Next Big Thing
25th Mar 2009 06:43amHmmm... why does it always seem so hard to think of a decent idea that can be (easily) done online and take off - like the next Google or YouTube?!
We've all heard the stories, like Google being just a University Project and it being started in a garage. Now a handful of years later and BOOM! It's a name that nobody doesn't know. Same with YouTube too. And that doesn't limit it to just websites, even computer applications... MSN, Skype, Firefox etc.. these are all the big names in the application side of things. But they're all such simple ideas too... well the basic idea of it is simple... for example, MSN ... it's a program that allows you to chat to people on your contact list, add and remove people and send files and do some video and audio stuff too. It's all so simple. Only if I got there years before.
One site I have seen a lot recently in the media is a site called YouNoodle, weird name ya? Well it's a great site that allows you to view other "big things" that have recently started and are wanting to "make it big". Now I must confess, yes I do look at the site and think ... oooohhhh ... I'll pinch that idea and why not just mix it with a bit of that idea, then I start making it and then get bored... and stop. The reason for it, is that I know I'd get pissed all over by the others because they always take the risks in advertising heavily and hope that it makes them money. I obviously don't have a few thousand pounds to take a chance on advertising through Google AdWords ... nor the other various advertising places.
Urgh... why does finding something new have to be so hard! I bet it's right in front of my face and I'm just not recognising it.

Dog Singing
26th Sep 2008 22:36pm So, I was on YouTube and typed in "dog barking", just to see how the dogs here react. A clip came up with a squeaky toy and the dogs shot up and ran to my laptop sniffing it. So I thought "ok, how about another clip". I ended up coming across this clip of a lad playing the piano and his dog singing. Now, I've watched the clip 5 times now and I still cannot stop laughing when the dog starts "singing". Take a look at it... it's hillarious!
