Ha ha, obviously it's a joke - a nicely constructed prank played on mine and Martyn's mate Michael, who really adores Simon LeBon. So Michael if you are reading this - don't worry... I made a fake mock up BBC News page. You just got pranked!! Now I have submitted 9 tutorials to them before however only 1 tutorial (PHP For Loops) was accepted. The way the front page has its tutorials selected is through some kind of voting process by onsite moderators... well I am sure they are jelous of my website skills and hate my site so much that they won't even accept a tutorial off me! I have seen crap tutorials each and everyday and they have been accepted. I'm starting to go off Good-Tutorials ... ... ... ... Nazis! Now as for the conspiracy theory... something weird is behind it! Trust me... look at the facts... the fire was on the 9th (so 9) and the bus got its roof sliced on the 11th (so 11). Put them together and what do you get? 9 11 OR in my eyes 9 meaning September and the 11 meaning 11th ... September 11th ... what happened on September 11th back in 2001? Yes! Another conspiracy! Might be me and Martyn just being random and out-rageous but I might be onto something. Also the bus accident happened around 9am, which was around the same time the first plane hit the WTC ... something REALLY freaky is happening!! If you don't know what the ball game is about, it's simple. During the morning of Shrove Tuesday all shops in the town are boarded up (making it look like a Hurricane evacuation scene) and schools are closed, then at 3pm a ball is chucked out of a window and must be passed from one end of the town to the other, until the claxon gets set off. The fun then begins when all hell breaks loose and it's every man for himself, as for an hour or so, people fight over the ball - climbing up lampposts and shop roofs to jump on top of the crowd to get their chance of getting the ball. At 5pm the claxon is then let off one more time and whoever is holding the ball wins the game and retreats to their favour ground - usually the pub - to claim their prize of £1,000. First of all if you locate your Apache folder (within your AppServ folder, usually installed directly on your C drive) and go into a folder called "conf", then open the file called "httpd.conf". Find: #LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so Replace: LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so Removing the '#' (hash) symbol will enable the rewrite module. (Note: Some configurations are already loaded, if so ignore it) Find: AccessFileName .htaccess Replace: AccessFileName my.htaccess Changing this from .htaccess to my.htaccess means that your .htaccess files will have to be called "my.htaccess" (However when you upload them to a real web server online then you'll need to rename them back to .htaccess) Now restart your Apache server (This can be done by going into the Apache folder, then into the "bin" folder and running the program "ApacheMonitor.exe", opening it from the system tray and clicking "Restart") By Dale Hay -:- Permalink -:- 2 CommentsInternet Protocol Version 64th Feb 2008 14:24pmTo those people who are more technologically knowledged, you'll know that when you type in a URL (web address, eg; www.dalehay.com) it routes to its IP address, of which is 74.86.106.179. Now you will see it has 4 sets of numbers, however because of the amount of websites out there in the wild web this number is nearing its limit (which is 4,294,967,296) - due to do so in about 2011. So a major update on the internet is going to happen, with it starting it today. The current IP addresses are known as IPv4 (Internet Protocol Version 4) and the new ones, which will be longer, meaning more sites and more IP Addresses will be known as IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) - around 340, trillion, trillion, trillion!
