Music is a 50 year fad

20th Feb 2008 21:10pm

Fads come and go, just like music... it's just a big fad. Seriously look... music took off (mainly) in the 60's ... two years later it was the best era for music - the 80's - with the likes of Billy Joel, Bangles, Tracy Ullman, Belinda Carlisle, Bonnie Tyler to name a few. Now 2 decades later its crashing... music is going pants meaning its fading out. It's all just a big fad that will die out soon.

Lunar Eclipse

20th Feb 2008 17:16pm

Oooo we might have another Lunar Eclipse tonight at around 3:26am (GMT), mainly for America though however some of western Europe should be able to get a glimpse of it too. Only main places that won't get a ganders is Asia and Oceania. Last one for the American's though till 2010, not sure if it is the last for us British though.

If you don't know what a lunar eclipse it's where the moon turns a nice blood red.

I never thought I'd say this...

20th Feb 2008 14:56pm

Never in the past god knows how many years I have been using FireFox have I decided to turn around and say use Internet Explorer. At the moment my database application on my other server takes about 5-6 minutes to load and either loads or times out. However viewing it through Internet Explorer it loads straight away. I might either stick with Internet Explorer for a bit OR use Maxthon for a bit.

dalehay.com Feed

19th Feb 2008 16:26pm

If you use Thunderbird, Firefox or any other RSS feed reader then if you want, you can sync this sites feed. The address to the feed is: http://www.dalehay.com/feed.php

It works fine on most things, though maybe some programs or applications won't allow a .php extension. If so, use another program.

2 New Prezzies

17th Feb 2008 16:22pm

I popped to Argos earlier and I was going to get some Mega Blocks (not the normal big baby blocks that they do, but their Micro series - which is the same as lego, but cheaper [1,900 bits for a tenner]), however they never had any in stock and I wasn't going to pay twenty quid for 1,400 pieces. So instead I ended up getting 2 other items. One is a Motion Lamp, well basically a lava lamp as they're so cool and so relaxing - at the time of writing this I am just waiting for it to start going as the wax has now melted but is just staying at the bottom. Also my other item is going to be my fun new toy which will also have its own section on here. It's a Triop set, similar to the old Sea Monkey sets that you can get, oh yay! the lava lamp is starting to work, oops sorry. Yeah so what I will be doing is starting my Triop set soon and then report on each days progress relating to what has happened and what should be happening too. Only downside is that they cannot grow in tap water as the chlorine in the water will kill them. I am should a child still... at the moment I am really happy at seeing the wax going up and down he he. Oooo I feel like going to Wetherspoons in a bit...

Google SketchUp

14th Feb 2008 12:32pm

Google, a while ago, brought out a free 3D modelling program called SketchUp and today I decided to download and install it. Everything installed correctly and you're welcomed with a little option of how you want your view, I prefer Top down.

And let me tell you... I have never in my life seen a 3D program so simple!! In less than 1 minute I had built this and added the textures. It is sooooooo simple. Good on you Google!

Mess-up a webpage with JavaScript

13th Feb 2008 08:34am

Just saw this on MintyFerret, which is really cool! If you visit a webpage, then add some code in the address bar at the top and hit enter, you can modify a pages content and resize images and muck totally about with it.

javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0
