World Cup 2006

22nd Apr 2006 05:00am British rock band Embrace have revealed the offical World Cup song. The song is called World at your Feet and is to be released on June 5th. It was first aired yesterday on BBC Radio One. Have a listen to it and see if you like it.
I personally thing it is one of those songs that does get sang by the drunks in a local pub.

Windows One Care Live

21st Apr 2006 05:00am Loads of people had the option to help Beta test Microsoft's product One Care Live. Now you would have thought that Microsoft would have had been kind and said "Thanks for trying this software out and reporting any bugs, here you go - have it for free", however nooooo they still want to scrownge money off us to use it to it's full potential. They're offering Beta testers the chance to buy it for $19.95 (for a years subscription) instead of the normal $49.95. I think that is skanky :\ If I had people Beta test my stuff I would reward them by giving them the software for free. Bloody Microsoft!

Happy 80th Birthday

21st Apr 2006 05:00am Happy Birthday Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, also known to you lot as Elizabeth II. Yeah, our beloved Queen that doesn't really do anything for the country is 80 years old today. Everyone in London seems to be celebrating, but no one is raising a glass here in the countryside. :\ Strange. Anyways happy birthday.

Feminine Hijinx

18th Apr 2006 05:00am I was just reading through the comments and noticed one from a lovely lady called Susie. Now this could have been any Susie in the world, but the comment shows that I like her show.
Feminine Hijinx - Susie
Now the only Susie I know that does a "show" isn't the local hooker Susie, but is a part of a podcasting trio - known as Feminine Hijinx. I have been addicted to their shows ever since I stumbled across them a few weeks back. They're all class ladies and have such an amazing sense of humour! I suggest you head over to their website and listen to their podcasts. (Oh and don't forget to rate them if you like them - which you will!). Keep up the good work ladies!

Firefox 1.5.0.2

14th Apr 2006 05:00am Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2 has been released, though not much has been sorted - it is a small minor update. Fixing several security bugs and stablization of the product. (Such a big word)

MyBB 1.1.1 Released

14th Apr 2006 05:00am The people that make the forum software that i'm using onsite, have released an update. The update eliminates various security risks.

When you apply the patch to your MyBB forum, you may have a problem with showing 2 images in one post (or signature). To fix this simply open 'inc/functions_post.php' and find:
$message = preg_replace("#\[img\](https?://([^<>\"']+))\[/img\]#i", "<img src=\"$1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" />", $message);
and replace it with:
$message = preg_replace("#\[img\](https?://([^<>\"']+?))\[/img\]#i", "<img src=\"$1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" />", $message);
(Thanks DCoder)

14th Apr 2006 05:00am Something i've just stumbled onto, very good work. Titanic Two (Obviously not the REAL sequeal), but it's all been placed together very carefully. Take a look (also check out the groovy version of 'My Heart will Go On' near the end).

Camping Trip 2006

9th Apr 2006 05:00am This weekend I went on a camping trip with a small group of people. It was fairly cold and wet, with wind, rain, hail and snow, but on the whole it was fairly funky! I have took some pictures on my phone of it all and i've uploaded them too. Feel free to have a browse at them. Oh and we went to Edale in the Peak District.

Bird Flu confirmed in the UK

6th Apr 2006 05:00am Well, finally it has reached us. Fife (Scotland) last night found that a swan which died carried the H5N1 strain of the virus - which is the deadly one to humans. The BBC have a press conference happening anytime soon. (Which i'm gonna watch).
