dalehay.com Archive - Page 34Ernesto31st Aug 2006 11:53am Well Ernesto has defenately been a weird storm, first of all on Thursday 24th August 2006 Ernesto started off as a Tropical Depression, named Tropical Depression FIVE, then started to intensify. On the following day, 25th August, Tropical Depression FIVE managed to become a Tropical Storm and was then renamed the fifth storm of the 2006 hurricane season, Ernesto.Around late evening time (GMT) on Sunday 27th August 2006, Ernesto gained enough power to be classed as a Hurricane, with a sustained wind speed of 75 MPH (120 KM/H). ![]() With this power Ernesto was predicted to become a Category 2 Hurricane, however that failed as Ernesto arrived at Cuba. Ernesto soon lost power and in the early hours of Monday morning (GMT) Ernesto fell back to a Tropical Storm and was heading for Florida. It took Ernesto around a day to reach Florida, still as a Tropical Storm and as it started crossing Florida it weakened more to just a Tropical Depression. However at the time of writing this, Ernesto has crossed Florida and is now heading up the east coast of America. Trouble with that being is that the waters there are nice and warm and predictions do show that Ernesto may intensify to a Tropical Storm again and maybe even a Category 1 Hurricane. I will keep you posted on this. Like pop-ups with those annoying big smilies on going "oh my god!" when you roll over them. Well there is one advert that has caught my attention over the past few weeks and I think its really funny. Well I personally think its funny, not sure about you ... but it's from a site called SitePal.What you do is simply type your message into the box then press the [speak] button on it and then the person says what you've typed. Now me being all childish and immature, decided to see if it could swear... hahah it does! I've actually spent hours recording loads of sayings from here, I might merge them together and create a audio broadcast of a Jerry Springer type show. :D » SitePal - Talking Advertisement By Dale Hay -:- Permalink -:- 0 CommentsDale's Converter 1.1.120th Aug 2006 05:00am Well i've found my old project originally called Metric to Imperial Converter, but now renamed to Dale's Converter. I've sorted a main bug out on it - but more work is needed on it though. If you want to use it then you will need the .NET Framework installed on your computer. Then just download it, and extract the ZIP file and run the 'converter.exe' file. (It doesn't need to install at all! So you could just run it straight off a floppy disc, cd, or USB device). » Dale's Converter By Dale Hay -:- Permalink -:- 0 CommentsOh noooooo14th Aug 2006 05:00am Laptop... died. Everything lost... i'm devistated... all pictures / documents / text logs of my first year at college. Pictures of my little brother growing up .. all lost... :( Stupid laptop >=[It loads the Widnows XP bit at the beginning when that bar thing is like loading, then it flickers the "blue screen of death" for about a whole millisecond then reboots automatically... I could just try and reinstall Windows again however I don't wish to partition my harddrive (to try and save the data already on there). Urgh! Any techno experts out there?? Strong winds and heavy rain will still effect various areas of South Florida.By Dale Hay -:- Permalink -:- 0 CommentsTropical Storm Chris1st Aug 2006 05:00am Looks like the Atlantic has a bit of action in it again. Tropical Storm Chris will develop into a Hurricane by early hours Thursday morning. Chris is currently heading towards Florida, but will be hopefully out to sea between Florida and Cuba. However that is not certain until Chris moves closer. I believe Florida and Cuba will be placed under a Hurricane Warning as the weekend draws closer.» NOAA: Tropical Storm / (Almost) Hurricane Chris By Dale Hay -:- Permalink -:- 0 CommentsTaylor Ware23rd Jul 2006 05:00am Taylor Ware - Who is she? Then I decided to change my mind and keep it quiet that I was actually coming back on the next IT course with all my buddies from this last year. However, I am now thinking of working... yes the big wide world. Which is why I am writing this. Just to update you that I might be moving away ... not to the next county but move about 100-odd miles away.Possibly to Kingston in Greater London. There is a possible job down there for me plus accomodation too - so i'll be good for money and housing. It's a nice area and I think it'll be nice for me to get away and have my own freedom. Note for old college buddies: It was brilliant seeing and meeting you all, you're all a great laugh and I hope to see you all again one day. :) Right, that's my small ramble about that. Next, the comment system is back up so you can post. The arcade has been moved to a different site (I will release more details about that at a later date). Don't think there is anything else to update you on at the moment. :) Oh and this moving to London thing might not happen - however it's just a possibly opportunity.
