dalehay.com Archive - Page 18Tube Update5th Sep 2007 21:55pmThe strike has been dampened today as 11 out of the 12 lines have been reopened. Though RMT (Rail, Martime and Transport) are planning to go ahead with MORE strike action starting this Monday (10th September). The only line that is closed due to the strike is the Circle line, though if you normally travel on the Circle then use the Hammersmith and City or Metropolitan Line for the northern part or the District Line for the southern part of the Circle Line. Alternatively you could just use the bus, remember Oyster is the way to go... bus fares are capped at three quid. By Dale Hay -:- Permalink -:- 0 CommentsUnderground Strikes3rd Sep 2007 22:33pmThe Bakerloo, Central, Circle, District, East London, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan, Victoria and Waterloo and City have all been suspended due to the latest tube strikes. Buses are running fine so catch a bus if you can't catch the tube. The Jubilee and Northern Line though are working fine as they're maintained by another company. Also the Piccadilly line is only part suspended between Hyde Park Cornder and Northfields/Uxbridge. I went in there earlier on today to cash a cheque and they turned around to me and told me I cannot cash it because it wasn't enough. So I take it you have to cash at least a million before they can accept it. Tossers. I have cashed many cheques before of a small pityful amount and they were fine. I think I might change a bank account. I am mainly testing it to see if it brings any more visitors to the site. Basically, all you do is goto the site, and enter your name and a question, then I will answer it when I check them. Its very simple! Also get your friends and family to ask questions too, the more the better. By Dale Hay -:- Permalink -:- 0 CommentsTropical Storm Chantal1st Aug 2007 19:53pmNot exactly a threat to us in the slightest, but it is nice to see them heading this direction and not towards America. Though, I am just thinking would the jet stream affect it in anyway? If so, then I am pretty sure by Friday it will actually turn east and skim the tip of Scotland.
